When I set out, I had been seeking a wider composition with the Milky Way higher in the sky. While killing time I found that the galactic core lined up perfectly with this stretch of road. Serendipitous discoveries like this keep photography both exciting and rewarding. This photogenic stretch of road is located in Redwood National and State Parks in Northern California.
