A monolith surrounded by yet more stone. Yosemite's Half Dome takes center stage in this 'oculus' view of the famous landmark. This vantage point can only be obtained through a serious hike, followed by a steep climb. Though hard to reach, this point, "the Diving Board", is well known. This location was immortalized in Ansel Adams 1927 photograph "Monolith".
