The only city of the five in Cinque Terre to reside on a hill, Corniglia still fits the mold in other ways. Its vibrantly colored buildings interlock, covering a mountain top surrounded by terraced vineyards. A system of tiny grape trains (trenino) criss cross the hillside, making the harvest that much easier.
