Too often when hiking we forget to look around, spending the whole excursion staring at the ground and sweating. This image was captured deep in Fern Canyon, although this is not the usual picture of the steep walls of fern from which it derives its name. This verdant canopy is located in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park in Northern California.
